SIMWORKS Stainless Outer Cable for Shift - 3m
Nissen Cable uses stainless steel coil wire for the outer cable, which is generally made of steel, making it rust-resistant and finished with a transparent coating. A polyethylene inner liner is placed inside the coil, making the lever pull lighter. The outer diameter of the shift cable is 4 mm, and the inner wire is compatible with 1.2 mm.
Considering the need for various cable management methods to avoid interference with the frame's full outer design and gear such as bags and racks, SimWorks uses a 3m cable length instead of the standard 2m. This means there is almost no need to worry about the cable being insufficient when assembling.
[Installation method to maximize the performance of the outer cable]
- Before installation, leave the outer cable in a straight state for half a day to a day to remove any initial shrinkage before use.
- For cutting, use an outer cut guide or a high-precision wire cutter.
- After cutting, the coating and coil are deburred and the liner tube is drilled.
- Fluorine-based oil or silicone-based oil is applied to the inner cable.

*This outer cable for shifting is not the usual conduit type (a type with wires lined up straight vertically), but has a coiled structure.
The coil type has the advantage of flexibility, but the conduit type has the advantage of less stroke loss due to its structure. If you are looking for 10-13 speeds with severe racing specs, we recommend the CRISPER type .
