BIKE FRIDAY

SimWorks by Honjo

The world's most beautiful aluminum mudguards are made in a small local factory in Honjo, Sumida-ku, Tokyo. Since its founding in 1949, the company has been installing them on a wide range of bicycles, from utility bikes to randonneurs, tourers, and sportifs, and has a history of providing great functionality and looks.

What can we do to accelerate this new bike culture that began at the beginning of this century and that we are currently in the midst of, so that it does not end as just a ripple but becomes an even bigger wave? The wave may have started with the keyword "bicycle," but rather, we should not dismiss it as just an object. If we are to be involved in it, we believe that the essential theme should be to connect people to each other, interact with nature, produce, generate demand, and create cities, leading to results. We believe that ultimately, it will make the world a better place, and that in the end, the world is created by the "hands" and "minds" that keep working hard. SimWorks approached Honjo Koken about development and mass production.

We are constantly working with the reliable production sites that remain here in Japan, working hand in hand to create and provide everything from standard to new products.

Mudguards

The role of mudguards is to keep out mud, as the name suggests.
From everyday use to long-distance touring, the comfort it provides to the rider and the dust protection it provides to the drivetrain are extremely useful. Install these surprisingly light and beautiful Honjo mudguards.

Small parts

Mudguards are one of the larger components of a bicycle, and are located close to the tire, which is a large rotating object. A mudguard that is neither too wide nor too narrow, with just the right amount of clearance, creates a functional beauty.
