Japan has long been called the "Land of the Rising Sun." The beautiful sunrise that appears only at the boundary between night and morning brings with it a sense of quiet anticipation and a feeling of lightness in the chest, like the sky slowly melting into crimson.

We named the special color that captures the hues appearing only during that brief moment the Sunrise Collection. How you utilize those special feelings you've held for the sunrise, and what thoughts you layer upon them, is for you to discover.

The Taquito Pedal is a smaller version of the Taco Pedal, which features a large platform.

Compared to its bigger brother, the Taco Pedal, the front-to-back width of the tread is 5mm smaller on each side. While it may seem like a total of 10mm smaller, the sensation transmitted from the sole of your shoe during pedaling changes significantly. Its more compact size makes it less likely to hit roots or rolling rocks, and it's an excellent match for bikes with lower bottom bracket heights.

Taquito, meaning "small taco" in Spanish, is the name of a Mexican dish where tortillas filled with ingredients are fried until crispy. The reason it creates a strong presence despite its compact size is thanks to the robust support of the side plates, inherited from the Taco Pedal.

The highly polished cup-and-cone bearings are meticulously adjusted by skilled craftsmen at MKS Seisakusho, ensuring precise ball contact for each one. If rotation becomes stiff due to rain or dust, you can disassemble, clean, adjust ball contact, and grease levels using the MKS-specific cap spanner. Products that can be adjusted and maintained to suit the user, rather than being disposable, foster attachment and can be used for a longer time.

*Due to the small clearance between the side plate and the pedal spindle, installation with a 6mm Allen key is recommended.
*MKS finishes its products with a slightly tighter ball contact adjustment to extend the period before re-adjustment is needed. This contact condition is called "preload." After some use, an initial "break-in" will occur, and the rotation will become smoother.
