As 650B wheels have become the standard, tire sizes for various bikes, including touring bikes and commuter bikes, have also become wider.
The Smooth74 was created to address these conditions and is a fender that covers tires up to 58mm wide. In fact, it is a fender that was created by digging up a secret mold that had been sleeping in the Honjo Kogyo warehouse for many years, and brushing it up for modern touring and commuter bikes.
The Smooth74 also comes standard with a dedicated Flower HATO bracket. As its name suggests, the dedicated Flower HATO bracket is shaped like a flower petal and is thick enough to securely fasten at three points, allowing it to firmly support thick fenders like those on the Smooth74.
