SHOVEL RESEARCH Rod Steward
Supports large front bags The unsung hero of the bag
SHOVEL RESEARCH / Shovel Research is Run by Portland-based SAL, a small machining factory that produces highly designed products to meet niche demands in the motorcycle industry.
Large front bags are very reliable and have a large carrying capacity, but with a little help you can mount them more comfortably and stylishly. This Rod Steward bag, beautifully molded by CNC machining, will help you do just that.
This bag supporter is exactly what cyclists have been waiting for, as it has a very simple structure, and is designed to be able to securely and smartly attach bags such as the SimWorks Voyageur Handlebar Bag.
A U-shaped bracket is attached to the left and right side eyelets of the fork to support a large bag from below.
Its simplicity allows it to be attached to the bag beautifully.
There are two sizes available: Small Fabio (11 inches) and Large Fabio (14 inches) . The length of the crossbar (the straight bar attached to the top) that supports the bag is different.
The simple mounting method, which is not available on racks, makes your bike and bag stand out even more.
The bag supporter itself is also very beautiful.

[Installation precautions]
* This product cannot be used without a bag . Never ride your bike with the Rod Steward attached without using a bag.
*This product is not a replacement for a rack . It is intended to distribute the weight of the bag to the forks and frame and reduce movement on rough terrain, but is not intended to support the full weight of the bag. If there is not enough space to hang the bag on the bar or saddle loops, this accessory cannot be used. In such cases, support the bag with a conventional rack.
* Designed for center eyelet mounting on wide clearance steel forks, requiring 4.25" to 5.25" distance between side eyelets on fork.
* It is best to install it at a 45° angle to the steerer, so you may need to cut the stays.
* It can be used on mid-seatstay braze-ons, but is too wide for most road forks and will not work with rack strut eyelets (eyelets at the top of the seatstays).
