Q1: Is this bag waterproof?

In short, no. But this waxed canvas is infused with Martexin wax, and its clean, tight weave, combined with the bag's diamond ripstop lining, means I feel completely confident carrying water-sensitive camera gear in the Pacific Northwest rains. That said, if you plan on floating a fully loaded fat bike through waterways, make sure you encase those sensitive parts in something airtight.

Q2: Can I reapply wax?

Yes, I recommend Martexin or Otter Wax. Also, if you Google "how to rewax waxed canvas," you'll find tutorials on how to do it. It's all wax and heat. It's not that difficult and will restore that glossy finish.
