The Chips Bag was created by Welldone , a bag designer and manufacturer based in Nagoya, based on his own experiences cycling and hiking.

When using a hiking backpack, have you ever felt stressed because your head or helmet hits the bag when you're in the riding position while riding a bicycle? Also, with a roll-top bag, have you ever felt it was difficult to reach items stored at the bottom? After using a variety of backpacks and making many prototypes, Welldone came up with the unique solution to the issues that arise with hiking backpacks, and created the Chips Bag.

This backpack is perfect for cycling, hiking, camping, festivals, and more, and can be used comfortably in a variety of locations, covering a wide range of activities. It incorporates his many years of experience in "play" and is designed for people who enjoy a variety of activities.

The opening and closing mechanism was inspired by the potato chip "party opening" mechanism.

The basic structure is that of a "roll-top" backpack, where the top fabric is rolled up and fastened with a buckle to create a lid, but what makes this Chips Bag unique is that it allows direct access to the inside via a vertically positioned waterproof zipper on the surface of the bag, just like a bag of potato chips.

This mechanism allows direct access to the contents of the bag without opening the roll top, and when used in conjunction with the roll top, it gives you a wide view of the inside of the bag. Even if you just throw your belongings in without organizing them, it's less likely that they'll get lost inside the bag.

Roll-top 2-way construction

The roll top of the Chips Bag can be fastened in two different ways.

It can be stretched out when hiking with a tent, or it can be fixed at the bottom when riding a bicycle and you want to move around easily without interfering with your helmet.It will gently accommodate your style of play.

Convenient mesh pocket and drawcord

The mesh pockets on the sides and back are convenient for storing bottles and other small items you want to use while on the move, making them easy to access quickly.

The drawcords on the side panels can be used to store poles, umbrellas, or even a jacket, leaving your hands free.

Large pocket on shoulder harness

There are large pockets on both sides of the front shoulder harness. This is a detail unique to Welldone, which also makes messenger bags, and you can actually put your smartphone, snacks, and other small items in them.
